Behind the Scenes: Who's Who

Our company headquarters is located in South Florida. Our founding partner started in the insurance business in Florida back in 1977. Today, the business has expanded from a small personal lines independent agency to a national company expanding its operations over twenty-one states.

On our team, we have various licensed staff members who are multi-lingual in English, Spanish, French, and Italian. We have three main divisions within our organization. They are:

1. A Florida Personal Lines division, which has insurance solutions for homes, autos, motorcycles, boats, motor homes, and more.
2. A "Multi-State"* Commercial Lines division, which has specialty programs for independent distributors in the bread and snack food industry, independent tool dealers/jobbers, water/fire restoration contractors, and more.
3. A "Multi-State"* life, health, disability, long term care, and financial services division.

Our business model is built around the same concept as going to a doctor, but with less pain! Like a doctor, we need to get a profile on our client before making any recommendations or offering any kind of prescriptions (policies). To do this, we first go through a five-minute “Quick Start” Needs Analysis to get an idea of our client’s stage of life and asset exposure. This way, we’re better able to determine the amount of coverage and policies needed to protect those assets. Annually, thereafter, we do an insurance checkup to say hello and thank you for your business, to make sure that the information we have is still current, review all your policies to see if there are lower costs alternatives and to see if your needs have changed. Life is not stagnant, and we know it’s important to keep up with the changes in your life. Insurance is a big expense line item in everyone’s budget; that’s why we take the time to make sure that you're getting the coverages you need, with “A” rated carriers, and that you are receiving the best possible price with those carriers.

Our Goals:

1. To provide our clients with affordable insurance solutions to protect the people and things that they care about most.
2. To limit our clients' financial loss from the risks they face by providing tailored policies that meet their individual needs.
3. To provide retirement and income solutions for our clients' various stages of life:
   • Pre-Retirement — To help them plan and save for their future income needs.
   • Retirement — To look at alternatives that may offer our clients higher “guaranteed” income, reduction of taxes, and protection against future losses on their existing investments.

Behind the Scenes:

The Protection Connection is a family-owned and operated corporation. 

Linda Cosentino Jones — Her family migrated from Italy to Montreal, Canada where she was born in “Little Italy.” She is multi-lingual, speaking English, French, Italian, and Spanish. From the young age of 16, Linda started traveling on her own and in 1985 met Jeff Jones on the Caribbean island of Martinique. In 1991, they married and she became a licensed insurance agent working with him. Living in Hollywood, Florida, which is the Canadians' winter home, she quickly had a following of Canadian clientele. In 1995, she became a licensed real estate agent and continues to work in duel capacities, helping our clientele with both their insurance needs and with buying/selling their properties. She’s a very upbeat, motivated, and happy individual. She is the “mom” of Michael and Amanda. She loves fashion and interior design, learning foreign languages, and traveling to learn about their culture. She competes in marathons, loves her woman’s athletic/spiritual “retreats,” and can be found early mornings either running, spinning, or attending some other athletic endeavor.
